I rally havnt played enough to say but i like the azecs buildings, and just their buildings, I like the britons becuase of the longbow but my favorite right now is the byzatynes.

gotta be the chinnese get about 180 of em with 10 chanmpions surrounding them (for defence i just build tons of castles ohh and this strategy on'y works if you're plaaying with pop limit of 200 (best for beginners)
