*They specialise in cavalry and are able to increase the strength and speed of their horses, making them awesome at hit and run attacks, significantly crippling any town and leaving before the away-army returns.

Actually, I find the Persian particularly impressive. Those elephants annhilate.

However, I'm growing quite fond of gunpowder units...

first off, to the guy who said the celts are one of the worst civs, you sir are dead wrong. they have some of the best siege units in the game. their seige onagers fire 20% faster, they have 50% more hit points, and siege onagers are the only unit in the game that is a weapon of mass destruction.

in my opinion the best civ for single player is the mongols. their seige units move 50% faster that anyothers and pack those rams with infantry and they can almost keep up with cavalry. the siege onagers destroy masses of units at a time and the mangani (?spelling?) have an attack bonus against other siege units and can slow down the front line of a click of cavalry so that the onagers have a beautiful shot at the heart of the enemies' formation.

as for team games i think spanish is the most helpful to the team because of their team bonus of +33% trade profit. not to mention their paladins are pretty good and bombard towers dont hurt to be on your team.

Those people suck compared to the spanish. they've got horses and gunpowder. Give them a trebuchet or two and a few battering rams and I could cripple all you basterds. Have you ever faced 180 horsemen and 10 trebuchets at a time? ( I kill the villagers until I have a few to build loads of castles everywhere). Sometimes I have about 40 champions to make short work of the enemy and to protect my siege weapons.

Bizantines, (Best Imperial Technology, Cataphract Sucks But I Don't Use Them) They Have The Best Technology Altough I Don't Like The Buildings... Ugly.. And Mayans For a Quick Victory.. Like 15/20 Minutes, My Favorite Buildings Are French..
