	The custom characters are obviously made in single player campaign and can be used for multi-player (wi-fi and local) gameplay as well. The 3 races are Humans (all-round character), Newmen (good at using magic, or technics),and Casts (very strong, but cannot use technics, or magic) who use different classes, Hunters are mostly melee fighters, Rangers use guns for long-range fighting, and Forces use technics and are weak with physical attacks. Only humans can use all classes, while Casts can only be hunters and rangers, and Newman can be either Hunters or Forces. The main point of this thread is to choose which character you will choose. I chose/am choosing a Ranger Cast. I'm sure the developers for this game included/are including different outfits to tell some characters apart. By the way, the Newman are like elfs, and Casts are like robots. EDIT: to clear up stuff, technics ARE magic. This message was edited by 50_4darkside on Jan 25 2009. -------------------

	hmm... well if you can make multiple characters, then i'll have a human ranger (i like guns) and a Cast hunter.

	Oh, haha, I forgot to show which one I'll be. I choose to be a Cast Ranger. This forum is probably pretty dead because mostly all of the Phantasy Star forums are dead also. Tis' a shame, really. -------------------

	I've actuallly nevver plaed a Pantasy Star game i n my life but his game loooks very promising. It'll be my first Phantasy star game. I first started to look into it because of the graphics. I was like WTF?! This cant possibly be for the ds. And lucky for me, it is. Hopefully you don't have to pay monthly fees like FF11 and some other Phantasy Star games. That would really suck. t to mention, have you heard about the gunslashers? it's like they made it just for me:D. that sht's gunna be bleep DOPE! 	I doubt that there would have to be a monthly fee to play PH0, because the whole point of wi-fi pretty much is to play against others around the world without having to spend money. Gun-slashes look awesome. But the little robot things, Mags. They seem to customize the game to a new level. They are also adding shields to the game. -------------------

	damn the more i talk about this game, the more impatient i get. I'm about to explode w/ anxiety. I've never waited in line the night b4 for a game in my life but this might be the first. Actually the second depending on whether or not this comes out b4 KH 358/2 days.

	Meh, I don't find midnight games are so fun, I usually just pre-order and/or pre-paid games, which work out fine for me. The only game I went out at midnight for was Super Smash Bros. Brawl. -------------------

	I'm just worried about the lag in the wi-fi. I hope it has smooth wi-fi and not too much lag. -------------------

	well at least for the first few weeks thats basically a given. There are going to be a shtload of people playing but i'm sure they'll fix it up pretty quickly -------------------

	I still find much of a lag in Mario Kart DS, Zelda: Phantom Hourglass , and Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin to name a few, but its also true that they are old games...Maybe it has changed. -------------------

	really? i have PH and i only played a lagger once (it was aweful:#). mario kart is a different story though, that does lag:(. i haven't played the online for castlevania, just the story so i can't put any input on that. lets just hope the people you play have a good connection. btw, nice link smilie. -------------------
