Could write a thousand brilliant plots where Cena went after WHC or Ziggler etc... but Rock was always winning which meant that Cena was always winning. I know he doesn't need to win the rumble to be the focus but he did need to win it to at least feasibly justify being in THE main event at Mania. but edge, del rio and sheamus challenged the WHC? unless you consider WHC as the top title, in which case, ryback/orton/sheamus still had a decent chance to win it. it seems like a lazy booking imo. This was the first PPV cena won in quite a while, they could just play it off as how losing to Rock made Cena lost confidence, etc. quote It finished well before the cut off though, I think it was at least 10 minutes (I know it was twenty to when Vince came out). Just seemed rushed and another case of LOLWWELOGIC in how it finished. Put it this way, TNA put out that PPV and certain people would be tearing it apart for weeks. i think it was about 10:40pm when vince came out. the show ended at like 10:50pm, which is the prime time to end the show. another 5 minutes then you'd have the risk of the feed being cut. and i doubt it lol. royal rumble is far far better than genesis. other than for the main event, the matches were great imo. the outcome isn't ideal for most people, but cena vs rock is going to sell more than any other match guaranteed. ------------------- i will stand, take my stand at the back the motherbleeping bus cuz im a proud ass bleep ✪ Fandango Crew ✪

	Not saying it was worse than aces and eights stuff, but that gets torn a collective new one as do tna in terms of screwy finishes. And both of them just looked poor. And for whatever reason every time they take steps forward to build the future of the company they've pulled the legs out from under it in order to put The Rock over. His involvement from start to finish has been (by his standards, and for that matter by any returning legend's standards) poor. Surely a legend returning should be used not only to increase buy rates of their big shows but to also put future talent over and help grow the future of the business. Jericho does it right, comes in, puts someone over (and even when he wins he puts them over by getting them in a better position than before he worked with them. Rock hasn't done that, whether it's been through ring/mic-rust he's just not managed to really add much to the product itself) Rock's return has been to the detriment of Miz, Cena, Bryan, Punk & the title. Inconsequentially probably to the detriment of other fringe top level talents who'd have had more of a look in if they hadn't basically had 2 Wrestlemania's booked in advance. When he leaves, we'll be pretty much back where we were before he came, Cena will be the champion (and viewed as a weaker champion than he was before Rock came in), Punk's run as the top guy (or joint top) will have symbolically if not literally ended. Started with his promo, won the title, carried it through till the Rumble. That's dead. I'm sure he'll still be around the top of the card and probably work with Cena but he'll definitely lose some steam. For me it's just been bad business all around. The only real outcome has been Cena's got 2 PPVs with The Rock which he probably didn't need anyway as he was over enough. As a "dream match" for buy rates I could understand one and he should have been put over in that like Hogan did for the Rock. ------------------- Mourinho: "I think people should stop criticizing Bolton's direct style of football. More than what we had within 2006 - 2011 period, anyway. Sheamus, Ryback and Orton became top faces. And then we also saw Punk emerged as the top face for quite a while. Cena was on the back seat for a while (as in, not being involved with the title scene), so it's been great. It's not like they're not using these upcoming wrestlers either. But if you're Vinnie mac, you surely won't pass the chance to have the rock to win the title? Especially now that Rock is actually a blockbuster actor? Rock's return didn't ruin Cena in any shape or form. Rock's winning the title is great if we're just to rely on the outcome. No one is big enough to take the title off Punk other than Cena, Rock, Undertaker and Lesnar imo. It was just a poor execution. Guys like Punk would flourish if they had other superstars who know how to cut promo. That's why HHH, stone cold and Rocky were great. Imagine Stone Cold having to feud with the likes of Ryback and Umaga. it sucks that the other man who knows to cut a promo is john cena. quote For me it's just been bad business all around. I'm confident that Cena (or Punk even, if they made this a triple threat in WM) will win the title, which is going to give the title a little bit more prestige. Rock vs Cena for the WWE title is bigger than any possible match for the wrestlemania imo.
