Can someone explain Lewis' strategy to me. Trying to preserve tyres and the stopping early? Wtf.

As far as I can see, Hamilton has the racing line and is half a car length ahead when the crash happens. Maldanado was off the track so surely he had to cede the place (i.e. brake thus avoiding the collision, rather than just keep going even if he was on full lock).

The last time they were even level was on the way down to the preceding corner (Maldonado gets ahead momentarily on the outside). I don't get what else Hamilton could have done?

Is no one else watching this? Gonna get interesting between Raikkonen and Hamilton towards the end. In other news Maldonado gets a penalty for shoving Di Resta off the road (surprise surprise).
