When you go, try and walk in confidently, look them in the eye and shake their hand. Seriously, some people put ridiculous amounts of importance on this

If they ask you a general question like your employment history, keep it relatively brief; they won't be looking to hear your autobiography. Just give them a quick overview of what you've done, especially with anything that might relate to this job.

Read the job spec. Look at what they're looking for. When I've been for interviews, they've asked me questions like "we're looking for [for instance, ability to work on your own]. Can you give us an example of when you've had to [work by yourself]?". Listen to the question, think about it, don't be afraid to take a moment to think about your answer. If they want examples, give clear examples that relate to the question. Don't worry about reusing an answer if the same example is relevant to more than one question. Avoid phrases like "I think" or "I believe" - tell them what you can do, rather than what you might be able to do.

Remember, you're trying to sell yourself and your skills. You're looking to convince them you're the best candidate. Be confident and give them evidence than you can do the job well. Avoid being arrogant but don't be afraid to talk yourself up where necessary.

I'm a bit different I guess, I don't try to lie and big myself up. Just be yourself and if you're the best person for the job you will get it.

Working in HR, I can tell you that interviewers really don't like it when a candidate waffles on about something or goes off on a tangent. Keep your answers concise and relevant. Also, come up with a couple of examples for each quality they identify in the job description.

nah, but seriously try to act confident, ask questions to show you have intrest in the job. prepare answers for questions, i find they will mostly always ask

and thats just a few - don't lie but feel free to stretch the truth a little bit.
