Those of you who have to write essays in university exams, how many sources do you usually reference (direct quotes as well as name drop an author)?

Usually it's about 15-20 per 1000 words.

Depends how many points you're making as well.



Also unless you do English Lit, you shouldn't be quoting (better off paraphrasing, shows you understand it). Plus it uses more words.



Realised earlier that of all my 4000 word essays this year (5 and 2 2000 word essays), I've maybe been about 50 words off the limits in total. 3 of them were 4000 exactly and one was 397x, the rest were 399x.

Mechanics tomorrow followed by philosophy. Don't care about philosophy since it's compulsory but hoping for roughly 75UMS from mechanics to keep me on track for an A.

Had my Core Maths resit yesterday and I have my Mechanics Maths tomorrow.

Why did I ever pick Maths? It's *bleep*ing solid.

Heard load of people complaining about it, but I'd have gladly accepted it over what I had for advanced higher maths.
