Says on the BBC they want to do it over six years so I guess pay for it when we're out of recession. Meh.

Don't know if you saw the BBC yesterday. Basically, instead of having your benefits withdrawn for 3 months after 2 convictions the Tories want to raise that to 6 months and if you have 3 convictions then it'll be raised to 3 years. The problem, as pointed out by BBC editor Mark Easton is that no-one had 3 convictions last year and only 69 people had 2 convictions. This means that the £80 a second on benefits under Labour would go down to..............

£79.99 under the Tories. I laughed.

Anyone catch Nick Clegg gettiing grilled by Paxman the other night? Thought he came across quite well actually, a few hiccups here and there but overall thought he held his ground nicely. Will be interesting to see if Cameron and Brown allow him to interview them, got to think they have to now that Clegg has gone through with it.

Shall be tuning into the Leaders debate on Thursday as well, despite it being on domestic matters, most of which will not concern Scotland in the slightest. Still, should be interesting in any case, first time it's happened in a long time.
