Mother Theory;Jerome's daughter Karlie. Barney's stepsister, who is definitely going to be at his wedding and who during the 6th season is said to be in college, so she could be in Ted's wrong class incident. Also It would really justify why Ted calls Robin and Barney as Aunt & Uncle (although that could happen even if they are not actually related). Sounds solid to me. What do you think?

In the past episode where he is going out with cant remember her name but (Summer from The OC) he says all stuff like this is your mothers umbrella, and all that other stuff in the appartment but then that roomate ended up marrying her so that was a bit confusing.

Wouldn't suprise me if they dont keep up with all these promises and it just changes to some girl.

Series 1,2, and 3 were awesome. Slowly got worse since then, last series was pretty shit.

I've invested too much time in it now though so I've got to keep watching it to find out who this *bleep*ing mother is.

it would be typical of american networks to let the show limp on without him. they havent got a clue when to just end things

As Sweeney said. If one cast members goes, then call it a day, 8 series is more than respectable, no need to push it on.If they all stayed and the story was acceptable, then fine, but otherwise, close up shop to what has been a very good TV series.

There is still one think they owe us which I expect to be unfolded early in the next season. Robin hooking up with the guy she met on the club they all went to. I am guessing she's gonna be with him while Barney is with Quinn and they'll both dump the other' (kinda like Nora and Kevin) and ultimately marry each other.
