Wimbledon 2009

So who do you think will be winning this year?.
I personally feel Roger will be winning the Mens where as Jie Zheng will win the Womens. As for the doubles I have no idea as I don't follow it.
Though it is a major shame to hear Nadal won't be defending his title ):

I think it could be Andreas Seppi's year this year.
Edit: Aww geez, James Blake in the 1st round, isn't he one of the best in the world?

There's only one thing we should all be saying at Wimbeldon;

I actually think Andy Murray has a brilliant chance to win it, probably the best chance of his life with Rafa out. He's definitely capable of beating Federer at this time and I think he can do it. The best chance we've had of an English Wimbledon champion since Tim Henman in 2001. But he won't *bleep* it up like him.~ Jakeyd

He's 17th in the world. I personally don't think he is incredible but he did manage to beat Fed in the Olympics I do believe. quote Jakeyd

At the current time I do agree with you however I feel he will win it in a couple of years time beating both Fed and Nadal. But if he does win it, it would be nice.. however I am a Fed man ;D

The same applies to the Scots, if he does win we'll never hear the end of it from them.

I don't want Murray to win, for obvious reasons.
However he could win it, but I hope that either Federer/Nadal/Somemore more low-key, wins it. It would be a nice change really.

I reckon Andy Roddick has quite a good chance. He looked very impressive in Queens Club last week before he had to retire through injury.
However it's going to most likely be Federer or Djokovic (sp?) winning this year I think. Murray will just fall at one of the latter hurdles and be a "failure" as per usual (even though I wouldn't class the top 8 or top 4 in one of the biggest tennis tounaments as a failure).
So I want any of them, bar Federer to win it.

Man, how i'd LOVE Andy Murray to win it. He's definitely in with a shout this year too, what with Nadal withdrawing (which is a shame, never nice to have a grand slam tournament without the world number 1 involved), and Murray looked unbeatable at Queens. Okay, you could argue that the standard of opponent he faced at Queens wasn't that great, but if you look at his seeded draw through to the Wimbledon semi finals then it looks pretty straight forward. Would love to see a Federer/Murray final with Murray coming through to win it.
