My first attempt at video making. Iverha or anyone else, I'd really appreciate any praise or constructive criticism, as I really loved making that and would like to get better.

I tried to get a good mixture between the music and video. The song goes quite sad at that point and so I shown Alonso's OG () and his miss, but then it lightens up as the song does.

My mate has asked me to make him a Montage border but the thing is what is a montage border ? I know what I montage is but dno what a Montage border is. Should I know? help is very very welcome.

Ok, good first try.

I can begin with the bad stuff:

-You use way to much of one clip, and within a minute I could see that you lack enough clips of goals etc.
Download more clips, and use just as much as needed.

-When Aurelio scores against Portsmouth (free kick) the commentary stops, and that sounded really bad. This also happen on other clips.
Make the music fade in and out, then it won't be bad anymore. But:

-Sometimes the commentators speaks to long, and it doesn't fit in with the music all the time.
I rarely use more than 4-5 seconds of the commentary sound, unless the music "lets it be ok to do so."

-Well, the title is a bit misleading when almost the whole video is about Alonso and Aurelio. You should change it.

-The borders are moving. Are you using Windows Movie Maker or Vegas or anything else? In Vegas it is the pan and crop effect. It isn't that much of a problem here, because you have mostly used clips from the same channel.

-I'm not a fan of having just two players in a comp, unless it's because they have an exceptional understanding between them. I would focus on either one player, the whole team, or maybe their attack or defence.

-Sometimes the music fits in with the clips and commentary, but sometimes it doesn't. I can take one example to help you out:

The "intro" :

Listen and watch through the video at the very start. The music is good, but for video making it's not the best because you would want a longer intro to build the whole thing up. Anyway, listen and watch now.

I always build up the intro with some clips of the hard times, like players getting tackled, the ball hitting the crossbar or getting saved etc. What you've started with, is Alonso scoring! I don't think that fits at all.

Now here's what I think should've been done:

Use build-up clips as I mentioned, but seing as this intro in the music is very short, I would only use what I call close looks. Clips where you can see they are sad/happy etc. This way you get a good effect in the video, you describe feelings, like you would do when writing for example.

Do you here the little music thing at between 00:04 and 00:05 (and between 00:12 and 00:13)? I don't know what kind of instrument that is, but it is quite important.
Use a clip of Alonso (for example) the first 4 seconds, and then change to Aurelio when the little music thing come. This is also a good effect. When I make videos, I always put the music in first, and make the video to fit to that.

Now after 13 seconds (when the little music thing come again), switch to a clip of Alonso again, something as like in the start, where he's ready to take a penalty or a free kick. And when the music starts, the goal should be just in the net. Actually, you made it become pretty good when Aurelio scored on his free kick, but I don't think it was such a great effect because of Alonso scoring before, as I mentioned.


Now what was good (finally, I guess you're thinking ) :

-The music is good, apart from not being the best football video music.

-The goals and celebrations used was good.

-In some way I actually enjoyed watching the video, so something you must of done right


Good video for a first try, but lots of things you could change.
