I'm sure you can do some sort of cash-in-hand job? The obvious examples are things like being a paper-boy. Alternatively you could offer things like dog-walking, cleaning, gardening (e.t.c) services to your local residents (especially the elderly?) and then as well as getting money you are being a kind and decent human being.

Either give your service provider a call, or just try and text someone and see if it works? Normally these things have to be activated, so if you do call the company then just make sure to ask if your sim is active.
