It was kind of. Khan wasn't given a win by stoppage/KO even though Barrera quit in the 5th. Therefore you go to the scorecards where Khan, and rightly so, won.
I don't see everyone's problem with Khan, it pisses me off, especially if you're British. What's your problem? You piss and moan that we're shit at everything else, but when a genuine talent comes along you write him off. It's the same with Lewis Hamilton. A lot of Brits don't like him. He's never said anything that a boxer hasn't said before in terms of arrogance. He put his hands up and said Prescott was a mistake and admits it was wrong. He then smashes up a future Hall of Famer and people still try to find reasons to hate on him or blow it off because Barrera was cut. Boohoo it's not a *bleep*ing tea party. MAB has been around, he's experienced enough to handle a cut. Surely his ring craft alone could've got him out of the situation considering Khan is a no hoper and will never be a World Champion? MAB wasn't disabled, in the last round he came out throwing looking for the KO and Khan just basically shrugged it off and beat him up with his lightning combos. Sure in the end the cut had an effect on the outcome, but I truely believe Khan would've won regardless.

So Amir Khan is going to get a world title shot.
