Gotta keep SOME level of class present. So I'd suggest you not be involved either.

I know this is not intended to be a popularity contest, but in the end all of these sorts of competitions inevitably are. We all know that people are going to largely nominate individuals that they are friends with rather than necessarily the person they think most fits the bill. From that list of already skewed nominations I'm not sure how a board of presumably moderators, who have in the past been shown to do the natural human thing of favouring friends and fellow moderators, are going to remain impartial judges. Then there is the selection itself of board members which needs to be impartial and provide variety for this to work the way it's intended to. How is that selection going to take place - can people nominate themselves to judge, or will that just be a case of whoever is the runner of this contest thinking of people they're probably already acquainted with to help them.

I don't know, the idea is good in theory but I don't see how it's going to be carried out practically. It seems to be essentially a re-branding of other pick-the-member competitions that we've had in the past, and I'm not sure that I 'get it.'

Not to beat a couple dead horse's but Deathman48 and Gotenks are obvious choices for this. DM48 is the only reason I stuck with Neo after stumbling into the site 10 years ago. Both are great, personable, and level headed Mods and exemplify the kind of person I like to interact with when I come to this site.
