Lu Bu, the Best Character? - Page 3

I guess I'll try to bury this once and for all so here it goes. Lu Bu was the strongest general at the time he defended against Guan Yu, Zhang Fei, and Liu Bei at the same time. He almost killed Cao Cao if it wasn't for his personal guard Dian Wei. The problem was that he believed in what others told him and therefore believed in doing what he wants. He ended up being tied to a tower and being choked to death by a rope because he wasn't smart enough to realize that people were deceiving him. He was an intimidating man to face against making Cao Cao retreat several times just because hearing Lu Bu was there. He served under Liu Bei for a very short while, but Zhang Fei didn't like him and tried to duel him several times. So Lu Bu decided to leave. He if decided to follow his own path and not listen what everyone else wanted him to do he might of lived a bit longer. As for DW4 he is what I'd like to call an "Uber Character" he is just ungodly when you try to face off against him. He may look like a Cockroach, though he has the best regular attacks in the game. His Musou while not that great is strong and if you manage to hit the opponent with the final attack of his musou it deals out large damage, though its hard to connect with. Either love him or hate him, but at the time he was the strongest general alive and was feared by everyone.

He is without a doubt the most powerful warrior in the game. He is the hardest to beat for sure and if you play with him in his musuo mode, he just mows through the missions and it isn't even tough for him, (and no I don't play this game on easy). With that said, he is not my favorite character to be. His moves are a bit lacking it sweetness, and he is also a bit slow. In all games, I like playing with the agile types such as Gan Ning and Zhou Yu in this one. My favorite warrior in this game is Ma Chao, therefore, to me Lu Bu is not the best character.

LuBu is definately the best guy in the game. I have his 10th weapon now and i am unstoppable at any stage even on hard without any body guards. He has the furthest reach and does the most damage. By the time i'm on my 2nd or 3rd hit, the non-officers are already dead and the officers have most of their life taken out. There is only one thing i dont like about him...his regular musou. Other then that he's perfect. And those of you who think he's too slow, just give him a speed scroll.

Lu Bu is sort of weak to me. I played Yi Ling Wu side with his ninth level weapon and got my face slapped.

Lu Bu isn't really that good to me like he was in the DW3 version!. i mean his defense sucks in the begining and he doesn't seem to have the same power he did in the 3rd one!. anyway his attacks are really badass but he himself is kinda ehh!.

Yeah i noticed that too, his last attack (5x then triangle) doesn't take out the whole croud like it used to. I'm glad i wasn't the only one that noticed, but i still think he's better then everyone else regardless.

Well... I don't think so. I never think of usin' him either. From my opinion, he is one of the worst char. in DW4. He is really good when he is used by the AI, 'cause he is unbeatable, but when you use him, he really sucks.

I think the conclusion to this thread really is. In history he wasnt bright but was the strongest of all warriors. In the game he is the strongest with more reach than anyone else. But you love him or hate him (im not that sure on him there are better characters). Chad ghostal was spot on.
