Ignoble Knight of Black Laundsallyn

Shouldn't be a big surprise, but the Sneak Peak promo for Abyss Rising is another Noble Knight. This time it's Lancelot. Konami's UK site spoiled the guy, and the fact we're getting a retrained Giant Soldier of Stone called Giant Soldier of Steel which apparently has some defense against attacks.




So..it searches for Noble Arms - Gallatin, which is pretty awesome. Honestly, just a couple more cards and the Noble Knights should be pretty well cemented as a theme. Step in the right direction, but methinks that after the next set, they'll have enough to really be their own thing. Has synergy with Rabbit and Gawayn which is pretty obvious, but it's there. Methinks these guys are gonna end up Chaos-y in the end.

There's also the fact that Laundsallyn, since it's based on Lancelot, implies we'll get at least another Noble Arms card, as Lancelot went in search of the Holy Grail.

Vanguard used Arthurian legends as a base for the Royal Paladin clan, so that's where the similarity is coming from. Oh, and Gallatin. Because Gallatin.

This really isn't the way to go about supporting warriors or introducing a new archetype, at any rate.

Just about any Warrior support they come out with now will just make HEROes better. Can't be helped.

They could've said DARK Normal Warrior. That would've thrown HEROes for a loop and a half, while leaving Rabbit plays...slightly less effective.

Except all the Noble Knights(You know, the guys he's a support for) revealed thus far have been LIGHT and will most likely continue to be LIGHT, while any other Ignobles they come out with will be DARK.

He would actually be a usable, balanced, recursive boss monster for the Noble Knight archetype if he had >2500 attack. But nope, at a 2k body he isn't worth running, especially since he minuses each time he pops up without being as much of a pest like Grapha and its big body would be.

Hes other effect's cost makes him awful, and he would be so much more useful if he just searched for a noble arms upon summon.

He's not a shitty Grapha. Grapha's just a retardedly powerful boss monster that was made way too easy to summon.
