Again, note the bolded portions. First you state that "people are people", and then follow up by saying that, as far as you are concerned, they are not homo sapiens. We just discovered that people = homo sapiens. So basically, what you said here is that people = people, but to you people =/= people. What. The. *bleep*.

Anyways, the original reason I made the post that I did, is that the threads of Swampert X are excessive, and often very irrelevant.

Sure, in moderation, they can be interesting for discussion, but when its clear that he lurks Shriek or some similar source for a new piece of information just to turn this forum into an RSS feed, its a little too far.

Swampert.
Learn to at least sift through the information for relevant things that are actually interesting or useful for discussion. And even when you do get an interesting piece of information, you seem very half-assed. Its just "oh, heres this and what do you guys think?" It implies that you have no stance or strength of your own and are just going to gleam it off of the general consensus/bandwagon. That doesn't start a disccusion. If you're going to start a discussion, start a *bleep*ing discussion. Make a stance.

You're so timid of pissing someone off, that you inch around arguments. That in itself is fairly annoying, but it makes it appear as if you have little spine.

Also, its pretty damn obvious that you're going for Mod. I get that, power is nice, but you've lost my respect (I'd argue of a few other people here as well) with these half-assed attempts at power.

Its a commujnity expressing themselves and giving feedback on what is going on. What surely did go out of hand is bringing stuff NOT related to yugioh or expressing thoughts as of the content being posted or content that is being planned to be posted. More yugioh's is what it needs.

I approve of Swampy providing information into the site. I'm going to state a few points in how such content can be improved as mentioned by other members and for which I agree:

• More quotes in the first post of a thread. Its cool if you continue to link us to the source in which you are getting your info but we would appreciate if you added direct quotes from such source. By doing so it will prevent us from going to different tabs thus for we would stay on one page. By providing us a simple link with no quotes from said article can actually be bad for the community. We could actually lose members as they could stick to that other site instead of using us as a resource or discussion.
• Description. It takes only a paragraph to describe a card. You could start it off with mentioning the stats of a card, meddle it down to how it can be used and top it off with personal opinions such as if you like it or not or even give mention to the artwork. Its ok to read what other people say to post a thread about said card I mean it could also give you clues on how that card or product is great or not. Others will pick on and also submit their opinions. People shouldn't be forced to add a personal comment if their intentions is to share the new products but it has been proven that a personal comment promotes growth in the discussion then brining in just info.

I don't feel that we are being overflowed with irrelevant information as long as its new info. New content corresponding to the Yugioh product is what people seek. What people would like is that such info should be provided as a whole and not be placed as a link to another site. It could be accompanied with a nice summary to promote discussion. In the case of product such as boosters, we could embed from the neowiki card list corresponding to that booster or alternately do it like the old day click here. That alone can start out discussion by those that have further investigated each card although it will help to promote such product and spark interest to members who know less if the OP also included some relevant discussion. Saying that, the creator of such thread hasthe responsobility to communicate the cards included in a product or even a direct quote of the effect and stats of cards. The rest is the opinions that the viewers (including the thread creator) has towards such product or card.

We shouldn't discourage Swampy rather help him out with the content he is posting. At least he is trying to bring in something to talk about. If you don't like how he is doing it then just state it. He has been told yeah, but telling him to step on legos surely not nice. I have a scar on my left foor because I stepped on a lego when I was 10. Another thing would be is that if some members here think they can do it better then might as well try instead of sitting their shitting in anger everytime Swampy does it. Compared to what others has done, Swampy has surplus the majority of us. The others that can also bring in content are just too lazy. Learn to be as energetic as Swampy and we can surely have an active community. If someone is doing something wrong this is why the RFS is for. Afterall, we are all a community and its good if we communicate then to just simply say ¨im leaving forget this blah blah QQ¨. I don't like how hes doing it. I have stated so, Quetz.

Hes scouring for new updates and posting it with half-assed comments. Its a poor attempt at 'bringing in discussion'. Quetz' two points are things that are definitely true.

The goal seems to be to 'contribute' to the community and 'increase discussion', but the way this is done so far seems to be with excessive quantities of shitposts (for lack of a better term), rather than any quality discussion-starters. These shitposts are every little tidbit of information he can scour, regardless of discussion value. The most anyone can do with an overwhelming majority of these posts is to make one or two comments which is not anything close to a dicussion.

Even more irritating is the shallow motive that is extremely clear: He wants power.

I agree, a majority of us (including myself) are lazy. I don't know about other people, but personally, its due to the extremely predictable responses that make any discussion either hostile or just boring. It doesn't take long through any interesting sort of debate before someone resorts to ad hominem arguments ("You're just a bad player", "x takes no skill and you're bad for using it", etc). Because of this, any meaningful (and/or controversial) topics are usually sidestepped by the meeker members in favor of weaker topics that offer little to no discussion.

okay AlucardZain cut the attitude it doesn't suit you and it sounds like with every post you make that you are intentionally wanting Kaiba to tear you a new one. You should know by now in this forum that if you say stupid things it's like blood in shark infested waters, stick to the GD where an electric fence was installed to prevent stupidity from being called out.

And now Swampert X. We are good friends but Oscar and Kent are both right, every thread seems to be made by you, jumping on any news seems to be your forte these days and so does providing next to no information from your sources in these friends. I understand you want to bring activity here and be the Mod but going about it this way makes you seem like a pest and trying too hard I mean hell I'm no super but it doesn't take a genius to figure that one out.

Any who that's my 2 cents rolled in.
