Is it worth it?

Hey guys, I'm getting $100 bucks from my mom to spend this upcoming weekend and I'm gonna buy a game with it, I'm already getting Assassin's Creed II on Friday from my dad, so do you guys think I should spend the $100 on this game? Or, do you guys have any other suggestions?

re: Is it worth it?

I don't plan on buying Modern Warfare 2....never played the others...so this game is pretty good? I'm thinking about being a mage. Any suggestions on how to begin as a mage?

I like the game and would recommend it. I play as an Elven Mage...put your points into Cunning, Strength, and Magic. They open the most opportunities and allow you to do more.

Why in the seven hells would you waste points in strength?
Magic, cunning, and any you feel like sparing to willpower.

Agreed. I'd suggest 4/10ths on Willpower, 1/10 on Constitution, get Cunning up to 16 (it has no use after that), and the rest on magic for mage characters.

I forgot about con. All three play throughs I've found a necklace that gives +12 to con, I barely put any into it evan with my warrior because of this =P

I like to have an option between intimidate and persuade. I don't put much into strength. My current attribute spread is:

Level 10
Strength - 12
Dexterity - 13
Willpower - 20
Magic - 35
Cunning - 18
Constitution - 14

I just bought this game and I absolutely love it. Takes up a lot of time though so if you have any life at all then mabye this isn't he best game for you. It's a lot of fun though.

I split my points 2/3 magic, 1/3 willpower, and didn't touch any of the other attributes.

I like to have extra mana available for my sustainable spells.

Great question lol
I will be equipping something else I just got and then notice the necklace and do a happy dance for the con boost.

I thought nothing could beat witcher....untill (I played this 1) gotta give the best 1 to Dragon Age.
Still think its easier to play as a warrior....amd unlock your skills as arcane warrior first before trying a mage......mages are more powerfull IMO,,,,buy only when you have a good understanding of the game and havve unlocked your abilities.
Any Char you create latter already recieves that unlocked ability and kinda hard I would think to stumble thru without them on a first try as a mage unless your using cheats and a trainer, but I suppose someone would take issue with that idea.
This game has great replay value so possibly start a charecter with the thought in mind you will be playing thru a 2nd time as a different class or race
