problem with Biostar TPower x58 |
|
My mobo isn't wanting to flow past the Hardware Monitor screen, it's not freezing, the cursor will blink, move down a level then just stay there indefinitely It was working an hour before hand. I had gone int other BIOS to tweak the Proc, which is when it decided to hang at this screen. So I assumed the BIOS didn't like what I did so I just changed it back to it's previous setting. Stil did the same thing. So I set to optimal settings still hasn't done anything. Any ideas on what's causing it to hang?
I'm running the TPower x58 with an i7 920, 3gigs patriot ddr3, 8800 gts 512, and a few HDs. Thanks

You might have changed something else. Change the BIOS back to default setting. That will usually set it back to factory setting which will allow you to boot up like before.

Did you try booting with a single memory stick? Just check your manual, it probably has to be in a specific slot.

remove all but the necessary stuff. one stick of RAM, no PCI cards, if you have onboard display, then no video card, no optical disk drive, and only your primary hard drive.
what PSU do you have? i doubt this is your problem, but lets rule it out. -------------------

Ok I figure it out wiht your help actually, when I had first gone to reseat the ram, I had nicked one of my HDs which partially unplugged one of my HDs, so the sata plug and power plug were just hanging on, plugged em in all the way and bam, turned right on. TY!!!!!! I wa seriously thinking my mobo was dead. I appreciate the time, and yes I am a moron. XD
