Spiderman: Web of Shadows (DS)--Which Way to the Pier?

Dear All:

Good afternoon from Canada!! I hope this finds you and yours well.

Forget all the previous fuss about the cheat codes. Somebody gave me the EUROPEAN codes instead of the NORTH AMERICAN ones.

The situation is this: I've finally got the power to the third rail in the New York subway turned off. I've also found that Venom (Eddie Brock) is hiding out at the pier.

Question: Could one of you kind souls tell me how to get out of the subway and out to the pier?

The only way that seems feasible is a hole in an alleyway that is blocked by a dumpster.

Any vague notions, ideas and/or brainstorms will be entertained here.
