Is their a difference between Gold Star and Full Combo?

is there a difference? I thought to get a song Gold stared you have to full combo...or is that just on Expert?

To get gold stars, you have to get 1.5x the score required for 5 stars on Expert (i.e. not Hard/Medium/Easy). So if you need 500,000 points for 5 stars, you'll need 750,000 points for gold stars. That means with the right star power paths, you can get gold stars and miss a few notes.

FC's are where you get 100% without breaking your streak. You can get 100% and it may not be an FC (like if you overstrum). It's possible to get 100% and not get gold stars because you could break the multiplier too much.

If you FC a song, you're pretty much garunteed gold stars. I don't know if there are any songs that REQUIRE you to use star power for gold stars, as getting 100% with a constant x4 multiplier is probably enough for gold stars.

As far as I know, there aren't any songs that have a glitch which makes gold stars impossible (like Seven in RB1), but the game hasn't been out for long, so people may find flaws.

I FCed a song without Gold Stars. And I did use Overdrive. Most likely just a bad path.

Well, according to ScoreHero, what most people like to refer to, gold stars is basically 6 stars. So if you're good with math, just do whatever dividing or something to find out the GS, 6S cutoff.

Full combo is just getting 100% on a song without any combo losses

Gold Star is possible on Charlene on the basis that I have Gold Star FC'ed sightread like most other people.
