Stat nuts will love the new Diablo 3 profiles launched on Battle.net. Simply log in via the source and you'll be able to access the new feature while on any page.

Profiles let you check your gear, stats, and skills, similar to how you would in-game, but without all the need to launch it. You can also track your progress to see acts cleared, bosses slain, levels gained, and so on.  And perhaps the most interesting feature of all: you can compare your gear, stats, and skills with those of your friends.

Blizzard says it will be adding even more detailed stats down the line, plus achievement and artisan information.
