Awesome, I might give him a try and see if he's as good as 08'.

I also just started a new ML as Man City. This ML is purely for fun and I'll be buying players that I like irl and my favourite ML youths. I won my first game 5-2 away to Aston Villa.

NB*All players linked to the wiki

The New Players

On Marcelo

Marcelo has replaced Lescott in the Arsenal side and looks to be the perfect opposition for Clichy in the side as they both have immense speed but Marcelo seems to be the better striker of the ball.

On Benzema

Benzema is currently the biggest star in France. Manager Matt is delighted to have signed him on loan with a view to a permanent stay.
However the games he has started for Arsenal he has rarely shone but Matt assures that is form will kick in soon.

On Ben Arfa

Ben Arfa has shone in the games that he has started and him and Nasri on either flank give Arsenal fans a bright future as well as French fans.

On Miguel Torres

Miguel Torres has replaced the recently purchased Zabaleta (who moved to Real Madrid) in this swap deal, however it has been rumoured that Matt his unhappy with his performances and still prefers Sagna.

On Nocerino

Nocerino is the replacement for Ever Banega after his outbust at wanting to leave Arsenal.
There were doubts about Nocerino and whether he will be able to handle the pressure of the English League but the midfielder has proved a great ally next to Fabregas and has good passing, vision and pace and unlike his predecessors Moutinho and Banega he has strength.

On Sebastian Larsson

Larsson returns to the club which told him he was not good enough and sold him to Birmingham but after refusing to play in the Championship he tore up his contract and was unbelonging ever since till Matt spotted him and snapped him up.

On Inzaghi Jr.

The son of the AC Milan legend, Inzaghi was spotted at a local training game where Matt was impressed by him and offered him a contract beating AC Milan to his signature. Inzaghi surprisingly looks incredibly alike to his retired father.

On Henrik Larsson Jr.

The son of the Celtic, Barcelona and Manchester United legend, Larsson was spotted at a local training game where Matt was impressed by him and offered him a contract, which Larsson didn't hesitate to sign. Larsson surprisingly looks incredibly alike to his retired father.

On Pavel Nedved Jr.

The son of the Juventus legend, Nedved was spotted at a local training game where Matt was impressed by him and offered him a contract beating Juve to his signature. Nedved surprisingly looks incredibly alike to his retired father.

On Mark Schwarzer Jr.

The son of the Premier League legend, Schwarzer was spotted at a local training game where Matt was impressed by him and offered him a contract beating Fulham, Manchester United and Vilarreal to his signature. Schwarzer surprisingly looks incredibly alike to his retired father.

They doesn't just look surprisingly alike their fathers, they also look surprisingly old to be only 17.

re: Your Master League

I signed Ninis and Arda Turan in my first transfer window with Man City. I sold Vassel, Haman, Jo and Ben Haim also. I swapped Jo for Arda Turin which saw Jo go off to Galatasaray.

I'm in shocking form at the moment though and I've failed to win a game in 6. I'm also out of the cup, I was knocked out by West Ham 4-2 on aggreagte but in both games I had a man sent off.

re: Your Master League

I tried to sign Arda Turan in the summer for my Arsenal team, his stats looked pretty incredible but I didn't manage to get him. Had to settle for Schwienstieger to fill the gap left by Rosicky. Is it me or are all the German players (possibly bar Odonkor) really sluggish? I've signed both Podolski and Bastian in my ML and despite them being much more slight than most of the other Germans they are still lacking in manouverability when compared to players like Nasri and Van Persie.

Anyway my little brother managed to capture Arda Turan in his ML but I see his curve wasn't that impressive, taking into account that I was going into my 3rd season when I was trying to sign him.

Young Gambino (Marco ) burst into life once again for me a couple of matches ago against Chelsea. With RVP injured and Vela and Bendtner struggling for fitness I was left a bit short of attacking options for the game. I decided to push Walcott up to support striker and start young Marco Gambino (about 19 now I think) on the right-wing. He then proceeded to open the scoring with a low skimming strike on 9 minutes and also sent Walcott away with a peach of a pass that allowed the little guy to turn inside Mwarakitz (no idea tbh) and fire in with his weaker foot. Gambino could have had more goals as well with his and Walcott's agility and pace making absolute mincemeat out of the Chelsea defence. Adebayor, my top scorer, top assister and player of the year last season, just looked on as his two young team-mates ripped apart the Chelsea defence without much help from him.
Final score was 2-0 btw, it was the first home leg of the Div 1 Cup which puts me in a good position for the second leg at Stamford Bridge (whatever stadium they try to pass off as Stamford Bridge in this version).

re: Your Master League

His curve is pretty decent although I am in my first season still. I tried to sign Aguero but he wouldn't accept my wages. If I can't sign him at the end of the year I'll try for Maxi Rodriguez.

re: Your Master League

Go Konami! Master League must include the most messed up transfer AI period!!!

I will go through the meanless transfers of League A (Premiership) after I finished my first season:
(High transfer frequency)
  • ARSENAL
Sold Gallas, Clichy, Sagna, Rosický, Bendtner and Cesc Fàbregas.
Only bought Sneijder and Benayoun.
  • ASTON VILLA
Sold Ashley Young to SPORTING GIJÓN and Barry to AJAX.
Bought some quality players like Bastürk and D'Alessandro though.
  • BLACKBURN
Nothing.
  • BOLTON
Only sold Matthew Taylor to (...) Saint-Étienne.
Bought players like Diego, Martin Petrov, Ljungberg and Gilberto Silva! Like Bolton ever will get this players.
  • CHELSEA
Arteta, Schweinsteiger and Ledley King in, Joe Cole to Milan. Some sort of realistic, but Cole in Italy? Don't think so.
  • EVERTON
The overrated Polish-Brazilian Roger Guerriero came to the club, but they sold, mentioned earlier, Arteta to Chelsea, as well as Yakubu to Valencia, Saha to Everton, Lescott to Saint-Étienne.
  • FULHAM
Lahm and Van Buyten to Fulham! None players sold.
  • HULL
Relegated of course, as they always do in ML. Geovanni and Boaz Myhill released, with Bernard Mendy sold to Valladolid.
  • LIVERPOOL
NO PLAYERS IN!!! But they sold Babel to Real Betis, Benayoun to Arsenal, Xabi Alonso to Real Madrid, Agger to Tottenham and Reina to Milan.
  • MAN. CITY
The richest club in the world only bought Chris Kirkland though they still have Joe Hart, a goalie with a great peak. They sold, as mentioned, Petrov to Bolton.
  • MAN. UNITED
My club. I sold Park to Aston Villa and signed Greek talent Ninis and French talent Saivet.
  • MIDDLESBROUGH
They relegated. Sold O'Neil to Nancy, Alves to Bologna and Downing to Lille. Almiron from Fiorentina in along with former Arsenal-goalie Stuart Taylor.
  • NEWCASTLE
Sold Harper to Inter, Beye to AZ, Duff to Mallorca and N'Zogbia to Udinese.
  • PORTSMOUTH
James retired. No players neither sold and bought.
  • STOKE
Relegated. Sold Olofinjana to Málaga, Kitson to Sochaux and Sørensen to West Brom. Some poor players in.
  • SUNDERLAND
Nobody in. Chimbonda to Cagliari and Leadbitter to Almería.
  • TOTTENHAM
Bought a bunch of ML Youths, as well as Agger and Vicente. Only sold King.
  • WEST BROM
Bought Sørensen, though already having a quality keeper in Carson. Didn't sold a player.
  • WEST HAM
Released Bellamy. Neither sold or bought a player.
  • WIGAN
Bought a lot of ML youths, as well as some PES/WE United players. Sold Kilbane to Racing and Kirkland to City.

All the clubs in Spain, Italy, France and Netherlands all kept their key players and bought some quality stuff from England in stead.

I have to stop playing ML 'cause this makes me damned pissed.

re: Your Master League

But I don't understand why all the key players from "Premier League" goes to clubs in either France, Spain, Italy or Netherlands without getting replaced.

Like Liverpool (on my save) sold Babel, Benayoun, Reina, Agger and Alonso without buying one players, which left them with a excellent first 11 and a horrible bench.

And yes, Bolton, are an odd side on the transfer market. Fair enough, Big Sam was a genious at signing good players around the world to the club (Anelka, Diouf, Jay-Jay, Campo, Djorkaeff...).

But you know what Seabass? He's at Blackburn!

Anyway: Continued on my Valencia save (1st season) and in 4-5 weeks the summer transfer market soon opening. I'm tensed on what foolishly transfers I see this time. Any tips on avoiding this? I use 'High frequency'. Is low/normal the thing?
