Activation code issues....

Hello, I am not asking for a new activation code, in fact I have it right here. My problem is that in the new version "Magic online III" they have some format for the activation code that has more digits than the one I got with my 9th edition core set. They say THAT activation code would be copied and pasted from an email, or some such thing. My code is 16 digits, all numerals, no spaces or dashes. Also, i thought I could just register on the older version of "magic online" but that doesn't connect due to the update!!! The error reads "the text entered does not appear to be a token. try copying and pasting again and be sure to get just the text and so surrounding spaces." What can I do to get my code working? Alara may be reborn, but she's being a turd...Any help would be greatly appreciated.
