Holy shit, that page still exists? I made that page when Black and White were announced, I didn't know it was still being updated.

That's the only thing about a major projects page, if people stick to the projects they say they'll stick to, when something new comes along it's a pain in the ass to update the page as well. Plus it's a bit silly to basically say "I will do this and only this"

As far as consistent templates and such go, in terms of design and all, it depends who's working on it. I used to use most of the same templates across all the wikis I worked on (tried on Pokemon but welp) so it's not like you can't use them, it's really all about what benefits your wiki. I'm sure there was a standard template package at one point and, while it was a nice idea, I think it only really worked for wikiguides where a standard was absolutely essential

I was wondering what helped productivity on wikis in general - I think the Major Projects page will help the Monster Hunter wiki at least. I've got someone (Kirago) who seems dedicated enough to help out. I really wouldn't condone doing one task all the time because it gets boring.

It's what I've been working on. I want to get a game finished before the new one comes out and everyone rushes over to add as much as they can. It's more a to-do list than anything, and people have the option of switching jobs if they want. If it works out well I'll let everyone know

I think a Major Projects Page is something that should not have a seperate page but be in view for everyone on the Main Page, that is how it is done at my Wiki.

I have it linked on the main page with font size 3 words saying, "Click here if you want to help!" It's more or less a way to organize for efficiency. That's how I treat it anyway. I think you and your co-leader should come up with something similar so you can show everyone what you have planned and are currently working on.

I tried to get most of my friends involved one helped (who got sick), and now I have someone who's really doing great. He managed to get promoted in a day >.>... (Kirago <3).

Well yeah, the biggest project is what I began doing a month ago. It's the most recent Monster Hunter game (Monster Hunter Tri) as it happens it's also the one I'm most familiar with, so.... I've tried to get someone to help from the MHFU forum... T.T

oh boy... seems like you do not know our situation. Forum's half dead and only 2 persons greatly care about the wiki while the rest either contrbutes now and then if I ask 'em to or at random. (very rarely)

It's a Wiki, you should not place a text like that there. remember that it is and remains a wiki page where you must remain neutral in saying. due to a lack of a better word, do not personalize text. if you want to put it there, make the text into something a random person would type in.

I changed it, thanks for the tip! (still new to this) I never really had a more experienced mentor. What's your overall opinion on the page though, you never gave me an answer, is it something that you would do? I'm a visual person, and having that helps me a lot but others will have differing opinions.
