So what kind of nicknames have you nicknamed your Pokémon now, in the past, or plan to in the future? Do you nickname your Pokémon a lot? Never? Let's discuss nicknames, people.

I normally like to nickname my Pokémon their Japanese name, as I personally like the Japanese names better. Not only that, but it makes me feel like my Pokémon are more unique as their names won't be the same old common names you hear everyday.

I also nicknamed my shiny Pokémon in coordinance with their color. My black Zubat is "Zublack" and my blue Gulpin is "Blupin".

So what ideas have you guys and gals came up with?

I always nickname my Pokemon with letter that it's real name starts with.

Like on Leaf Green I have Boomer my Venusaur (started with Bulbasaur), Athene my Articuno, Zeus the Zapdos, Flarey the Flareon, Master the Mewtwo and Peter the Poliwrath.

I never give my pkmn nicknames.
However, i had a krabby in silver with the name of "FOPZYXXMXX".
It sounded cool: FOPZYXXMXX used surf!

I never nickname the Pokemon I have in the games, but I did nickname my NetBattle team!

Maggie, the Magneton, Ryan, the Tyranitar, TY, the Typhlosian, Sally, the Salamence and Mewtwo the Mew!

I do have a Crobat also, but I forgot what I named him...

i name nine after characters (or other stuff) from games, such as the eevees have a corresponding summon spirit name eg. flareon = Ifrit, espeon = Kirin or my scizor is named DevilArms after the ost powerful weapons in ToS, most of my flying/electric fire ground/rock or water types are named after the Djinn from goldensun, if i had a charmander i always call it RAGE because that was the name i gave it in the original (comes from the episode primeape goes bannanas!) sometimes if i dont like a pokemon il give it name like loser or pathetic

but i only nickname pokemon i might use in my party, the others are just trophies to add to my collection

i called my sudowoodo something like Prof.Oak once... cause oak is a tree... sudowoodos like a tree

sometimes il name after a tv program im watching at the time, or something i did that day, like if i saw a dead hobo then its name would be Ho-bo (yes... it was a Ho-oh)

or i was listing to MC hammer at the time i got teddyurs so i called it MC.Grizzle

Sometimes I named my pokemon..I sorta had a dragon team in FR and then I named them all starting with Dragon adn then somehing after that...it got kinda boring so I restarted

Well I think this is always tempting but anytime I get hariyama I always name it harimama.

once i named my female blazikein Flare and my male sceptile blade. other than that, not much for nicknames
