The Neoseeker forums were created for the participation and enjoyment of the members. To uphold Neoseeker's professional standard, all visitors and members to the site must comply to a set of rules before posting, and participation of the site is an agreement to comply to these rules. For a full list of these rules please refer to this thread.
In addition to these rules are the following, forum-specific rules;
Spamming; the act of posting off-topic posts and other worthless material. Small one-worded posts that don't really contribute to the discussion will not be tolerated. If you have nothing useful to say, then don't say it. Flooding the forum by replying to every or almost every single thread is also counted as spamming.
Flaming; the act of yelling at someone or putting them down. Flaming will not be tolerated and shouldn't happen at all, no matter what the situation is. Typing in all caps can be counted as flaming, as to it's "yelling" on the internet. You can still use all caps, just don't use them the wrong way. If you don't agree with someone or despise something that they did, either reply nicely, or do it through PM.
Advertising is the act of posting a website of yours, your friend's, or somebody else's and telling people to go there. Why is this not allowed? Because if I let one person do it, then another person will do it, then another, and so on. This forum would end up in a wreck if everybody advertised.
No Double Posting::.
Double posting; the act of posting after another post you have made. If you want to add on to your current post, you can use the 'Edit' feature on the bottom right side of your post. But, some exceptions can be made in things such as graphic contests, Moderator's Corner, or any other important threads.
You are not the moderator. So don't act like one. Telling people what to do is a branch of memberating. If someone is doing something that they shouldn't be doing, like flaming or spamming, instead of memberating, simply report their post and the moderator will take care of it. Requesting closure to a thread that you have not created is also considered memberating. Only the author of the thread may request closure.
No Adult Content::.
This is a rated E game. If you post any pornographic material, or any other inappropriate images, you will instantly be banned, without warning. Many young kids come to this forum and shouldn't have to worry about running into any inappropriate graphics. It is best in Neoseeker's word that all younglings, and even older persons are protected from viewing such things.
No Discussion About Illegal Material::.
Discussing things such as ROMs, Emulators, or any other illegal items/material is not allowed on Neoseeker. Why? Because they are illegal. If you are using an emulator and need help, it is best that you ask someone through PM.
Game Thread Policy::.
Game threads are allowed, but only if you get permission from the moderator. Why is this? Because most game threads get out of hand because of unorganized rules or any other disclosed information. In order to get permission, please have the first post planned out, and PM the moderator. Please note, that even if you do PM the moderator for permission, there is no guarantee that your thread will get approved for starting.
As long as you follow these rules, we're sure you'll enjoy the Pokemon Platinum community! If you're new to the forums, why not introduce yourself?

Sep 14, 09 at 12:45pm ^re: Forum Rules | Guide to posting
The reason, in contrast to previous moderation, of the creation of this thread is to highlight several issues within the forum. Most of us are aware (and all of us should be) of the Forumwide Rules of Conduct, Etiquette And Acceptable Behavior. However still there are incidents within the forum where members breach these rules, and over the last couple of months I've noticed that certain rules are being broken again and again. Having to constantly remind, and sometimes ban members over breach's of the rules is by no means an enjoyable task, so hopefully this thread, and this post specifically will address and resolve these problems.
"Bumping" is where a member posts a message in a inactive thread, usually with the message "bump". This is considered as spam, as the post adds no detail towards the thread. Remember, no matter how inactive the thread, it's always better to add to the discussion to the thread.
However, sometimes there's very little detail you can add to a thread, especially when it's a shop in the trading forum. Bumping's allowed, but with a few conditions; the thread must be inactive by more than one days and if I see the post, and there's other posts following it, the post gets automatically deleted. Hopefully this compromise will stop the incessant repetitive bumping that's becoming a problem lately.
(I'll edit the thread caption every time I update this post, so everyone can check out the details for clarifications of the rules. If there's any questions or concerns, feel free to post in the mod corner)
