	I've never heard of the Masuda Method, nor can I wait to start trying to get it to yield. Honestly, when I begin playing a Pokemon game, the fact that shiny pokemon (legitimate ones) are right around the corner (and everyone wants them) makes me want to hunt for them even harder.

Yes it does, it's called the Masuda Method, but I'm pretty sure that it only applies to Generation V and onward.
