Good Elite Four,er, Champion team?

I CANT beat the champion. I am training my pokemon, but tell me if this is a good team.

Gira Lvl 54
Azelf Lvl56
Empoleon lvl 61

50 Hyper Potions
50 Revives

what do you mean azelf's not strong?It's pretty good,but we need to know the pokemon movesets

Leafeon is okay for in-game. Actually, any Pokemon is ok for in-game as long as it is well trained. None of the battles are very hard.


And I'm currently going through the game with three Pokemon, and two as backups. Leafeon, Empoleon, and Rotom. Staravia and Riolu/Lucario are my backups.

you should add a garchomp, it may take a little while to train it but trust me it will be worth it.

As long as you have a team of Pokémon level 45 and above, the E4 should be easy. Obviously, at level 45, you'd need a lot of Potions, and possibly revives. At level 60+, you'd need less Potions. Once your 70+, you'll need almost none. As for your team. It's good enough to get the job done, but you may need a hand full of Potions and Revives.

how does the battle usually go? just post what you use, andwhat she does usually and we could probably tell you what to change and stuff.

I think Leafeon has a really awful special attack, actually. She has a great attack, though.

I'm guessing you haven't EV trained them. The trick is to get tons of potions, revives, full heals. I used about 4 EV trained Pokemon that were around level 50 and beat it in my first try using a few revives and max potions. I think Staraptor with a few flying moves should deal with most of the bug types that first guy has. Your Azelf and Giratina are alright, although they aren't the best, make sure you put effective movesets on them. Also, Empoleon becomes very useful, make sure it has a lot of health, many of the Pokemon have Thunderbolt. Aside from that, your levels are kind of low and I can see why you can't beat them. If you have enough items it's workable though.

All EV trained. Charizard pretty much killed the first guy with Fire attacks. Your Empoleon should be able to deal with the second trainer, I'd recommend teaching it a grass move like Grass Knot if you can, it helps to take care of Wiscash, Hippowdon, and Rhyperior a lot easier. Empoleon also gives you an advantage over Flint, but his Infernape and Magmortar kept Thunderbolting/Thunderpunching and OHKO'ing it, until I revived it a few times with some Max Potions. I think Giratina should be of some use here and Azelf might be ok against Infernape. For the Psychic guy, Empoleon wasn't great against his Pokemon, but his Steel resistance is useful. Mr Mime puts up Reflect and Light Screen a lot so your attacks do significantly less damage. He took me the longest to defeat and I don't have much advice, just be ready to revive and heal a lot. Cynthia has a mix of Pokemon, her Spiritomb has no weaknesses, so just keep attacking it, it's pretty weak. Your Starpator/my Charizard should/was able to deal with Roserade. The Togekiss can take an Ice Beam from Empoleon and has pretty good defenses, so just keep attacking it. Lucario can be a pain against your team, I had Charizard, but it can easilyy Aura Sphere your Empoleon. I'm pretty sure it can deal with your Staraptor too, so I'm guessing either Giratina or Azelf will be able to battle it. Garchomp is next, Empoleon can OHKO it with an Ice Beam (mine did), but Garchomp is faster then it. Mine was able to survive an Earthquake, yours might be able too. The last one is Milotic. My Empoleon kept using Grass Knot until it died, it has a lot of defenses, so just keep attacking it.

Overall, you have an ok shot, just make sure you heal and revive a lot. Also, just bring two more Pokemon with your, I brought a Bidoof and Wingull and switched them in when I needed to heal/revive something.
