Guitar UpStrum Not Working

Long story short, my guitar is about a month out of the 90 day warranty, and my strum bar has decided to stop working. However its only the upstrum that doesn't work, the down strum works fine.
Is there any way to fix this without buying a new guitar?

Yeah true, i'll most likely just wait until GH Metallica, or GH Greatest Hits, i know its a bit off topic, but when are those games scheduled for release?

Oh yeah? I had to send two guitars back: one time the downstrum was screwed, and the other time the upstrum was *bleeped*

Then I bought a Les Paul and that was that [much more sturdy] (although I had to take that back too, I have shitty luck with guitars obviously ).

If you find out, please tell, as my orange cymbol has a crack in it (its not all that important, I normally drum in RB anyways which doesn't use it).

@Tim - GH:Metallica won't come with a guitar pack, or any guitar. And for Australia the release date is 26 of May from memory (yes, a full two freakin months )

I have been having similar problems with the guitar-shaped controller. My strum bar is actually working too well. The controller thinks that I am repeatedly strumming, even when there is no note to hit. It's messing up my score and making me fail every song I play. What should I do? The drums don't work either, so now I can't play at all.

Ok I will try that. If it doesn't work please keep in mind that my GH is for PlayStation2.

That happened to mine. Now I just use it to play bass.

unfortunately, i think you have to buy a new guitar
