in winter grass dies but if u look at the other ranches the grass still bears in its firt form under the snow and regrows in spring; does anyone know if there's a way of doing this too so as not to plant it again and again every spring?

There is nothing that you can plant in the winter, considering you need a hoe to do it and you can't hoe on the snow. I've always wondered, myself, why the ranch gets to have grass, but I suppose that's just one of those things that the gamers wanted to do when they made it. ^__^;
