Samurai Warriors THREE!.... for the Wii?! (4 new characters on page 2!)
A week before the Tokyo Game Show, the E3 of Japan, Nintendo decided to throw a Fall Conference to grab some early press and make some proud announcements. Coming in 2009, the first numbered Musou game to appear on the Wii was revealed; The highly anticipated Samurai Warriors 3.
Knowing Koei, SW3 might end up being on the Wii for a few months and then seep into all the other systems like DW6. However, from the translated article, there is one part that is a little worrying:
quote
"Musou" series, set in the Warring States period, and幸村Sanada, Nobunaga Oda, Date Masamune, one of the warlords, and mow down a number of enemies "in himself a sense of exhilarating," and experience to achieve victory. The latest film series and the Musou 3, Wii has the advantage of property, and ensure the creation of works of evolution, is keen to develop.
Does that mean it is a Wii exclusive?
Update:
FOUR new characters revealed:
A woman in red
A guy in Guan Yu cosplay
... not sure...
European-style sword and armor?!
Place your bets! Who are the mysterious 4?
A spy infiltrated Koei's HQ and caught the teaser trailer to SW3:
The good news: 4 New characters shown. More warriors! The bad news: Nobunaga wearing the same SW2 armor. If everyone stays the same, could with be a SW2:Special of sorts (i.e. a SW2.5 instead of a SW3)?
As always, info taken from KoeiWarriors.
SW3 official website and better quality trailer coming soon...

I met my nemesis. With our blades, we spoke more than words ever could.
It better not be! That's kind of a dodgy translation though, so its hard to tell what it means. If Koei releases this and the new Empires on PS3 (or even PS2 ) they'll have a pretty strong set of games on the horizon

If this really is just for the wii,I'm done with Koei.SW3 was suppose to save some of my faith in them like all SW games have.Come on PS3 release, and a non-crap game.

If SW becomes Wii-exclusive, that would be the biggest mistake KOEI has made. I mean, I don't play the SW games, I should, but if SW goes Wii-exclusive, then that just means that DW will probably follow suit. And that would be bad.
Personally, I don't even think that SW should be on the Wii, let alone be exclusive. I mean, think about it, both SW and DW are games about feudal wars that killed thousands upon thousands of people. The people that ruled then were sick, twisted, and brutal. The battles were incredibly horrifying (people killed each other point blank, slaughtering each other with swords and spears), I think a lot more brutal than today's wars. And, Nintendo is a kid friendly kind of system. Its actually kind of amazing that they've been able to make this type of game for the DS and now the Wii, considering what it is actually based on. But, since SW is actually going to be for the Wii, that just means that it will get more and more unrealistic and kid friendly, something that I personally didn't really want (as far as DW goes, at least).
On top of all of that, I don't really like the Wii.......Go PS3!

Regardless of whether ports are done, if they're basing the game to fit Wii standards it's going to blow major chunks of dick. Being one of the few who stuck up for Koei in the harsh days of DW6's release, I now resign to not caring anymore. I hope Koei shrivels up and dies and a company who actually cares about making a good game instead of making the game that will bring them the most money takes over, 'cause I've had enough of this shit from them.

I cheered at first, but once I read it it made me kinda worry. If it's a Wii only game, then KOEI is messing up with us!

Well, DW/SW is BASED on that. The thing is, Koei censored it so much, they aren't kills, they're 'KOs'. The tyrants are made into stereotypical assholes who never really show what they actually did, rather just boss people around and act like an ass. And the killings thing, it isn't like there's blood or limbs flying off. If it started looking like God of War and Koei made their series darker, then yeah, it wouldn't be on the Wii. At this point though, this game could be ported onto any system.
Other companies need to make a Three Kingdoms game.
