After i put the url of the video like this...

The upload box is looking for a URL such as http://youtube.com/watch/v= ...
However, youtube videos are not valid for uploading to Neoseeker.

Flash players such as youtubes are .swf files which are containers for a .flv file.

You can think of a flash file as you see on the internet (the .swf) as a TV and the .flv as the channel you want to watch. We need the channel, not the TV.

Neovids tags are here for you to EMBED NEOSEEKER's VIDEOS into your posts or articles on GameGrep. To upload via a link, you have to firstly ensure that the source of the link isn't password protected, and secondly that your actually linking to the file and NOT a zip file or a page which has the video embedded.

The latter is your problem here, since the youtube video is embedded onto the page. We already have [youtube][/youtube] tags for those videos, so you may find it easier to use that rather than uploading onto Neoseeker

I was trying to upload this video _{But its not working. I know i sent huntr a PM a awhile ago, but shortly after that i found out it was a swf file. Is their a way i can make it something else for me to upload it on Neo? Or do i just have to get a different file type on a different website?}

Rather than uploading videos from other sites, I think it may be easier (and better) for you to use the appropriate markups. That video in particular is a Gamespot video, so you can use the Gamespot tag to post the videos. In reality, I don't see why there would be a need to upload a video from Gamespot or IGN onto Neoseeker when you can use the tags, since the video quality they have is on par with Neoseekers.

Youtube however is a different story since their video quality is a fifth of our video quality which means our clarity far out-does them and so I can understand why someone would want to upload a video from there - but even then I'd recommend uploading the original, since uploading a the same one as Youtubes wont improve the quality

Even so you still need the .flv part of the video, and I have no idea how to extract it from Gamespot video files, try searching google, but it'll be hard to do so from the looks of things.

For the Star Wars videos I uploaded, they used a flash player on the official site, so I just searched my Firefox cache (about:cache) for the flv files and used the links to upload them.

Yes but submitting the video to Neoseeker FROM Gamespot wont improve the quality of the videos unless you upload the original better quality one or the HD version that they sometimes have
