	Log in to remove this sponsored message ...going to become a problem at later points in the game? I'm not really good with anything but Greatswords (Bowguns are a close second, but not by much), always have been. I maneuver better with them that I do with anything else. I just see all these "use Dual Swords on Nargacuga," "use Smoulder Dragonsword on [insert monster here]" posts and I'm wondering if I'm swimming in the wrong pool.

	Going through the whole game using only greatswords isn't impossible. They're a fantastic weapon. You just have to be more careful against certain monsters when using them as opposed to other "better suited" weapons. Frankly, I've fought pretty much everything in MHFU with a greatsword, and I didn't regret it at all. As I reached g-rank though I decided I wanted to get good at using every weapon, so I'm still working on that. My worst weapon is still the hunting horn... mostly because I dislike it.

	Yeah you are swimming in the wrong pool, gs is very good but you cannot easily take down some monsters with it, example Blangonga the monster his very jumpy in other word very fast you can only attack when ever is attacking and if you don't get out of his range soon, their is 90% chances that you would lose alot health your life meter, so I used ds since ds can match the speed of Blangonga, but took me much of my time so I made a thread on weapon help, picked up ls then went to battle I took down Tigrex, Blangonga, Rathalos,Diablos and black Diablos and two Congalala, I advice you learn ls and ds trust me they will help you.

I killed every single one of those with a Greatsword with very little issue. Don't misunderstand, I know how great Longsword/Dualswords are (Power Juice and Demonizing. bleep yes), but Greatswords have ALWAYS been my weapon of choice, since the first Monster Hunter came out. I'm just wanting to know if this will become a problem at, say, G-Level Quests, the big boss monsters like Akantor and Ukanlos, or if I should invest in a weapon that's more efficient at getting a given job done.

	Then you have no problem, keep using your gs, since it is now a part of you, you have absolutely no problem.

	solo Great sword on all monsters is possible. and for Narga it is better to gun it and Smoulder dragon sword is trash. it is clearly a waste of Lao Shan Heavenly and to be honest, Blangonga is one of the monsters that I prefer Great Sword. hit and run tactic works great and it is quite fast to kill it with Great Sword Edit: Sep 16, 12 12:06am

	Has highest raw in cutting weapons so your fine with it, aim for the best path for a GS e.g. raw damage-King Allitard Sword. You should also aim for skills that support the GS but while its possible to solo with GS, it is something i couldnt do. ------------------- True Strength? It's Fighting For Someone."
