Dragon's Dogma looks great and gets better every time I see it. Night time is like the caves of MH3 where you can't see more than a few feet out and its whole tone drastically changes.

Dark and Demons Souls aren't WRPGs is any sense except for the grimdark art style. It isn't open world, there is no 'choice' (or illusion of choice in Bioware games), dialogue, characterization, etc. I would compare it to a third-person Diablo more than a WRPG/CRPG. Oh and the combat system, which doesn't really say anything seeing as old CRPGs were turn-based.

Dragons Dogma looks like a great RPG though. I hope it isn't like Skyrim in the sense that it has a wide-open world but nothing to do in it. I heard nighttime in the game is creepy as *bleep* because you actually need a torch and more monsters come out.

The Souls games at least had two or more distinct endings, you could choose factions in Dark Souls, and you could opt to kill friendly NPCs so its more than what Bioware could say at the moment in terms of freedom of choice. Though Dark also feels like a true three-dimensional metroidvania when you get down to it. You have one big interconnected dungeon and at the early dead ends you find keys to get to the further out ones.
