g rank khezu

any tips for a g ranked khezu? i'm trying to fight the red one in snowy mountains, using regulation gunhammer and liquid fire blade w/ esp. any help?

Well, firstly, try not to use a fire weapon. While regular Khezu if weak to fire, Red Khezu is weak to water. I think it might also be weak to ice, but don't trust me on that one. Since you're Hr8, you can try using a raw powered hammer instead of a water hammer (the best ones come at Hr9). Onslaught and Deep Darkhammer work well. The Garuga hammer is also not to be underestimated.

Personally, I find the easiest way to take Khezu is with range. If you like bows, use the Dragonhead Hard upgrades, or the Terra Shogun Bow. Nice skills to have are Focus, HGE, and Cap Up. Bowgunning it is faster than bowing. Just take either a Hbg or a LBG with water, normal lv2, and pierce shots. Skills like HGE, Element Attck Up, Reload Speed (depending on the gun) and Cap Up are useful.

ok, for LBG i only have sanffall+, which can use water shots. for hammers my best raw would be juggernaut, 1404 attk. onslaughts final i believe.

I would normally suggest gunning khezu, but G rank khezu is a different story...

How good are you with the hammer of yours? Here are some tips.
Always anticipate the electric sheild thingy. Bring a power juice so you can attack the khezu whenever it's safe, oh and attack its face whenever it goes into ragemode, or does a lightning blast. Just make sure to avoid the blast

Yeah, but if you're fighting a G rank red khezu with a bowgun/bow you better learn how to dodge his shotgun blast and his super elasticy bite.

And the electro ball blast is ridiculously easy to dodge. IIRC, you can roll right through his stretchy neck bite.

You mean the lightning shield?


That's purely the reason why I range it.


If you feel you aren't doing enough damage try using a status.


You could try sleep bombing it, that should be pretty quick.

Or locking it up with para.


Then there's poison for the constant damage even when it's shielded.

When I say range... I use bows, not bowguns.


Yukiiko would be the one to ask though. What she doesn't know about bowguns isn't worth knowing.
