Just started playing monster hunter

At the start of the game i find bows rather redundant and i prefer playing with GS/SnS But later on the game bows become really usefull for certain monster fights

You have to time it right, you don't have to be that far away from it to not be affected by the tremor, just a little bit. The main thing is do'nt get greedy with your attacks, you have to know that its better to sometimes just hit them once and roll away then keep slashing at them and get thrown across the room. You have more then enough time for each monster so take your time. Also when the monsters are enraged they move a lot faster and they hurt you a lot more, so make sure you keep that into account when you're timing your attacks.

Well any thunder wpn would do, I did it with the khezu shock GS. When he does his water blast, charge attack his head or his belly just make sure you don't charge to long then (just untill he stops spraying water, let it hit roll & block for the hip check). Also you can hit his feet from time to time, but be carefull cause when he does his hip check then you'll get hit if you can't defend fast enough. For the green plessy you have to fight him in the jungle while its raining i think (in the beginning) it's pretty fun to use lighting traps on him them just plant them under him and roll out, they're planting almost instantly so not like a shock trap or pit fall trap and I think they do some damage at least. When his tail fin is down, he's weak and you can capture him then. Don't mistake a fin that you broke for a fin that's down cause you can also break it and then its a bit harder to see wheter he's weakened or not.

And also, the fastest GS combo is O then O+/\+O+/\+O etc.

You should be focussing more on unsheath charge attacks with GS and roll out and not really with combo's. With almost every monster you can time the charge attack to hit them at the third charge at their weakest spot (for example Tigrex his head) and most of the times making them flinch if your GS is strong enough ofc. The charge attack does 110% on third charge, if you have the focus skill you can get to your third charge at almost the same time it takes you to do 2 attacks. triangle does 48% & O does 36%, making the charge attack better since it does more damage and you can hit the weakspot at the right time.

Since you do the combo its less likely to keep on hitting the weakspot with those attacks. If your monster is trapped or something charge to three, do O and charge again. the /\, O combo is the fastest but it'll do less damage.
