First G-rank Armor set

Ok so I've been looking around for about a week at all the different armor combos and sets that are available now that I'm HR 9... and I've seen all the armor combo threads.

I got to HR9 using Silver Sol and Rath Soul (The HR6 versions)

And now I'm getting sick of getting 1 hit KOed by everything.

I don't care to upgrade their defenses because I want to just go ahead and get a G-rank armor set. I want a set that I can use to start farming several other armor sets.

Problem is I can't figure out what sort of combo to go for?

I don't really want an armor set that is specific to a weapon type. I want a versitile suit that works well for Hammers/GS/LS

Oh and typically I go for attack boosts so I want skills like sharpness +1, RA, or Attack up.

Anybody got any suggestions for my first set of G-rank armor??? or what did yall get for your first G-rank armor???

That seems like a good allaround set. I pulled that from the armour thread. You have tons of choices there.

thanks! I think that set would be one I'd get... but I think those freaking daora sharp claws will be tough to get for the master artisan jewels. I haven't fought a g-rank daora... You remember what your first armor set was?

Flat footed is horrrrrrrible for Hammer! Makes stamina decrease twice as fast. And why would he need Guard? He uses LS, Hammer and GS.

And I can't remember mine, sorry I was a gunner, so I stuck with my HR5 set for a long time, as I didn't really get hit.

I never knew that what flat footedness did... can't you just jem that out?

Yeah I might actually go for that set yukiko provided. I'll have to find a chance to fight kusha. I never see that quest lol

EDIT: Well thanks for the help. I went ahead and just made the akantor armor yesterday(I go those grav brainstems quick)... and I'm gonna get the warriors hammer and gem it for RA+3 Sharpness +1 and Earplug.

Then I'm gonna use that set to farm for Rathalos X armor and I'm gonna gem it for Attack up large, Unsheathe Crit, and Sharpness + 1, This will be a great set for my greatswords, and if I use it right can have some great benefits for my hammers too.
