Once again I need help to take down a monster. And that monster is Silver Rathalos . The quest location is called "Tower". Once I jump down I immediatly fight the Rathalos, it can't run away . My only problem is that even though I broght x10 both Potion and Mega-Potion, I still couldn't beat it . I always even manage to cut off it's tail and break it's head. Can you guys tell me the keys to defeating this monster? Thx .

Which weapon are you using? Which kind of weapon do you mostly use? Which armor are you using and gemmed for which skills? Are you dying or running out of time? Always give those details, otherwise it's hard to help.

Arms - Hypno Vambraces S
Waist - Kirin Hoop
Leg - Ratian Greaves S

*All slots in weapon/armor are full.

ATK: 864+(Atk up Med.)=936
DEF: 400

I died twice both times in the same mission.

It's good enough, thanks. Here goes the tips:

1. Get a thunder elemental LS, try getting Devil Slicer or True Devil Slicer.

2. Don't mix your armor like that unless you know what you're doing. Get the full armor from one type of monster, a example:

Full Kirin gives you ElementAtkUp, Elemental Resistance+5, Detect and a negative skill (if I'm not wrong).

ALWAYS look at the skills the armor offers, forget it's def and elemental weakness, otherwise you will relay too much on it and die. I think something like Rathalos Soul U (Reckless Abandon+1/2 and Attack Up SM/Med really works well), Ceanataur S (Sharpness+1 gives you a boost on attack) or Obittuary S (Evade+2 is a great skill which will always help you) would be good enough to you to kill Silver Los.

If you're dying too much, don't get hit, that means attacking calmly and doing strategies, attacking reckless will lead you to defeat. Use flash bombs and material to create more, but be aware that won't help on your evading skills.

Well actually, even with impact weapons the wings are the weak spot. Use a high raw hammer like Onlaught or Diablos Chaos and hammer it.

If you insist on using LS, get full Cean or Rathalos Soul U. Both are great sets. Aim for the wings and be cautious.

Ian has more hp nd tends to do sum ripoff "IT DIDNT TOUCH ME" attacks like The Poke or bachflip... more combos 2... or is glvl...bring flashes LOTS

I forgot to mention before that I died once when I was battling against the Rathalos . I also died once when I was fighting against the Rathian . Oh, and about the "harder" thing: I didn't find the Rathian harder than Rathalos . Maybe because I brought more items with me this time , or maybe because it's attacks are more simple and easier to read . I dunno why but, I beat this thing faster than I could against Rathalos .

Ian is easier than Los, since she has WAY more openings than her mate. Both of them are easy to defeat when you don't attack reckless and read their movements.
