i'm used to lbg's and bows, so i kinda suck at other weapons.. and tail cutting isn't my forte too.. so i guess i have to practice then... hohohooho..\/

Disk Stone + some kind of husk, I forget.

Yes they are, you have to make them though. I could be mistaken, it would explain why you can't buy disk stones.

Nope, no more Disk Shots. Normal Level 3 shots have the bounce ability now instead.

Disk shots? Were they in 2g? Never heard of them, but I know Slicing S in MHtri can cut tails.

I've seen my felyne break monster parts before, so there might be a chance that it can cut off tails, too.
Assuming that it focuses primarily on the rear, that is.

Felynes do cut tails, they tell you at the beginning of the game. Of course, the only tail my felyne have ever cut off was chammy's.
