In order for me to fight the Shen Gaoren at the fort,(this is about The Aprroaching Gaoren,not A State Of Crisis!)i need to do defeat Rathalos.I've tried and tried and i lose even somewhat being killed by a Shakakala(Little devil.)i need help on how to defeat Rathalos! please respond.

Have you ever beat a rathalos?

Also what are you using when you fight the rathalos

Yes I've killed Rathalos before,and i use titernia,which is a great sword

I gotta know more than that

What armor you are using/have
What weapons you have

A scenario of your fight/why are you losing

I am using Tigrex armour,and i keep losing because of its charge!

Either....

Use the GS charge method on it.
Learn to dodge better.
Or use a hammer.

Tigrex is a very good armor set ,you should be able to own it no problem.

OK ill use the Great Sword charge

Or- abuse your good ol' friends, flashes and traps. Rathalos and Rathian are the easiest of all monsters to completely gimp by abusing flashes and traps.

this is true, the good old hammer + 15 flashes works great. basically flash it and when it just sits there doing the "TAUNT" triple pound it head. Me and 3 mates did the silver rathalos G-Rank in about 3 min using this method. only thing different is that we all used adrenaline, attack up large and one of us had a hunting horn for the attack increase. it flinched every other hit.

Yeah, but that's the pathatic noob way. Don't get me wrong, flashbombs aren't noob, but spamming them is. Only do that when farming, when facing the monster actually dodge and hit it normally.

If he's having trouble with the monster and wants to progress through the game, then he should use the noobish way. Unless he really cares about making sure he never uses the cheap way of killing something, which would be quite sad.

Joemole, SPAMMING flashbombs is not only noob, but cheating. Flashbombs themselves aren't, buy you say he should do it to progress during the game. He should use his skill too, not spam them. Use 5 or so for the rathalos, but if you repeatidly throw them at your target your an idiot.

I died....cause of its charge.it was sleeping,and i used full great sword charge,but that didnt kill plus the annoying shakalaka and velociprey i got killed

Don't get greedy.

Run in, get in a few hits when you know you won't get hit, then GTFO before he starts his next attack. Look at his attacks and figure out when it's safe to attack. Don't risk it and don't be so trigger happy.
