GS vs SnS

i have to write an essay on comparing and contrasting 2 things. i decided to write about GS and SnS.

i would love if i could recieve any opinions you all have on these weapons, and any damage stats you all could give me.

sns is better. Faster attack speed & better chance of hitting because of it. Very close range, but this is ok due to shield ability which only decreases stamina & sometimes health when you get hit, instead of stamina, health and sharpness as is the case with GS.

I love GS to fight huge monsters like Grav and the Blos brothers. Los and Ian are also fun with GS but I use Sns for smaller and faster monsters like Kutkus, Dromes, Nargas, Tigrex and the like.

Also SnS are better to induse status effects due to the fact that they much more and faster that GS

No dude, SnS take a shit load of time to kill the monster. While the GS takes a very little time even though it's slow. GS is better.

Being a very experienced MH player, I don't agree with you.

Solely because one weapon type is not better than another.

Wrong, it depends on the player to be honest. I can kill a Tigrex faster with a SnS than a great sword, and against Tigrex I'll always choose the SnS for the sole reason of the mobility.

And going by that logic, I could say a HBG is better than a LS because I can kill Narga faster with a HBG.
