Not as easy as that, it's up to the Supermods, it just won't happen. Like MLIR said, the only true online is Xink and PSN, and a lot of people don't have that. MIGHT be a diff story if MHFU had online in-built, but even then I kind a doubt it.

By intimidating, I meant that some members might not like the idea of adding entries themselves and suddenly being shunned for it.

Anything that begins with, "I know this isn't the right place..." deserves nothing but the person who posted to be slammed against a brick wall by a truck seven times. Any thread titled 'NargA' with the OP stating, "How I keel plz? > <== Smiley insert." deserves the same punishment. I don't care if someone 'forgot' to or chose simply not to read the rules. If I were to come into a new community, I would check the rules first. It's simple common sense. Anyone who has been lashed has deserved it. At this rate, Conor will have to edit Neoseeker to hold Size 8 text so people see the words below our header clearly.

I feel that's a fair summary of the other side of this argument.

From my understanding it's not so much them being mocked for what they're asking, but how they ask it and how they respond to criticisms from other players.

It takes more "How do I kill ________" to properly consider a question in this game and you should be aware of that. Current equipment and best play type are pretty relevant points to this and after being asked how to kill the same thing some thousands of times, the people who generally ask such questions will get annoyed by the lack of courtesy on the part of the people asking for help.

They wont bother looking for other threads where their questions have been asked even though we have huge links at the top as well as a search bar.

The point of a thread isn't to direct someone to a search engine, it's to answer a question. Having actual people respond is a lot nicer than just reading information.

Then this goes back to the people asking simply not providing enough information to actually get help. How they ask is also a part of it, good job arguing less than half of my argument.

Ask a simple question, get a simple answer.

"How do I kill _____?" "Hit it until it stops moving."
The statement doesn't even say rank, what weapon type they use or any other information that would be relevant or helpful to people trying to answer their question.

It's like asking how to kill a boss in an MMO and not stating your class or level. There is a big difference in a fight using a bowgun and using any melee weapon for example. Or even between the village and gathering hall low levels.

Sorry, but it is my opinion that I shouldn't give such courtesies to someone who shows nothing but ignorance, idiocy, and has no intention to return such kindness if I do.

So... common courtesy or sense is something nobody is expected to have anymore? Or even have a slight understanding of. Good to hear.
