It depends on who the monster wants to target. You can let the felyne warrior learn the skill to plant shock traps. You cannot make armour and weapons for the felyne though.

There are a few pics and vids ive looked at on the felyne warriors. Ive seen 2 weapons, 1 is that little tachi sort of thing and the other is a hammer. I was wondering if there are any other weapons he can have such as bowguns and lances?

Does the felyne gather items randomly or can is there skills that make it do it more often or that you can order it to do it somehow?

I suggest the skills that makes its actions and movement faster and also the one that can steal from the monsters. Skills do not cost a lot.

If you forget your axes/bugnets now, you still have the possibility of getting ore/bugs? Thats awesome!

Nope.
You can add status element's to them though.
Hammer is usually better.

Yeh I saw a vid of a lvl 20 felyne warrior with a paralysing hammer and he owned a Bulldrome on his own which was pretty cool and he put down a shock trap.

Also what other skills can your felyne have? Or the best ones to have? Cuz I might get the trap skill.

The skies of crimson guide helps out alot on this matter. I got the game yesterday, and I'm enjoying every moment of it cause I understand! Bwahahaha!

After careful analysis of the book-by-the-bed, I found the answer.

You unlock skills by bringing a felyne warrior to fight a monster. Different monsters will unlock different skills, though there are times when more than one monster might unlock the same skill.

Cool, I thought that you just unlock skills the higher level the felyne is. Thanks for the info.

When a felyne with a shock trap skill plants a shock trap, can you put another shock trap yourself?

I suppose so. If you both put a shock trap at the same time, there'd probably not be a restriction on that. So yeah.
