At the felyne board, choose the 2nd option. Then there are 2 more options. The top one is to learn a skill, the bottom is to forget a skill. Felynes can only learn 3 skills.

I suggest the skills that makes its actions and movement faster and also the one that can steal from the monsters. Skills do not cost a lot. Also, as felynes do not deal much damage, I suggest training its defence instead of attack so that it can last longer in fights as a decoy.

I think shock traps is a nice skill, but I don't know what is what, so I guess I'll randomly pick one and see how it goes.

What's demon flute and how do you know what skill you're picking?

Demon Flute raises attack.

The felyne plays the flute, the felyne and your attack increases. It's the same as eating a powerseed. I can read what skill it is since mine is in Chinese. Also, Synergy, the skill you want is on the 5th page, 3rd skill.

5th page, 2nd option is the one where the felyne steals from monsters while attacking.

It's best to use a felyne that uses only weapons or prefers weapons.
