Arrrgh, Monsters

Is anyone else finding the enemies in this game a helluva lot more difficult than the other SH games?
So far I'm finding my best strategy to be running away from as many of them as humanly possible, because I end up losing far too much health dealing with each and every one, and I don't have that many health items to begin with.
Except for the Nurses, they're actually relatively easy, but everything else really gets on my pecks. >_<
Plus the fact that my weapons break fairly quickly is worrying, which is why I'm hesitant to just blow my pistol ammo on them, I want to save my good stuff for any bosses I'll encounter.

re: Arrrgh, Monsters

Yeah, I found the enemies to be pretty annoying. Those Resident Evil 4-esque button mashes when they jump on you were just annoying tbh.

Btw, you could probably afford to use a bit of your handgun ammo, I rarely used it against bosses (apart from the first one) when you collect better guns.

re: Arrrgh, Monsters

Nah, they´re not Resident Evil 4-esque (at least not in the PAL version) because, when you´re playing RE4, you gotta stand up and become a SUPER SAYAIN AND SAVE THE EARTH WITH YOUR *bleep**N´ FINGER(S)!!!!!

you know what i´m talking about?

i don´t think it´s the same in this game.

re: Arrrgh, Monsters

Hmmm, I'm not sure I understand the similarity between Resident Evil 4 and Dragonball Z... care to elaborate, NZL?

What i meant is...

when i play Resident evil 4, while tapping buttons i get a lot more...SAYIAN!!!

Playing SHO, let´s say a monster is trying to stab you.We gotta "tab buttons" repeatedly.

Well, just press the button about 4 times not too fast and is done, While in RE4 is totally different, Just like that push ups mini-game in "Naruto Ultimate Ninja 2" it wakes up my animal insticts .

Those strange corps are boring...You kill them, and when you return, they're alive again..Much harder than the previous..also melee weapons last for 5 hits...I hate that

Ah, yes, I believe I understand now.
*nods*
In RE4, you have to wake your reflexes up a lot more.
Not only does your blood start pumping when you're hammering on the "run" button in certain situations, but you have to be quick with the "dodge" buttons too.
I knew you weren't comparing the premise or the characters between DBZ and RE4 per se, but now I know what you mean by "saving the world like a super saiyan with your *bleep*ing fingers".

Whereas in Origins, it's more disappointing and/or frustrating than exciting, I will agree.
Sometimes, no matter how fast or how hard I seem to hammer on the tab buttons, the monster still skewers me. ><

The good thing is that once you got rid of that lump of meat out you FACE! *gasp* *meditation* then you ´l notice you did´nt lose any health.

I ALWAYS get pissed off in this game, tough. Today i beat the game with 6 health drinks i did´nt use and i was REALLY PISSED OFF because i had 13 before the final battle.
But even so i dont think Samael is so much harder than the rest of the enemies in the game so i say:
Monster are though, but if you´re skilled enough you wont notice the final battle is near.

The game is really short, so this monsters and some puzzles will try to slow you down.

re: Arrrgh, Monsters

I just started the game and have only fought the nurses. They don't seem too tough, but then in the other SH Games they have never been that difficult. I'm sort of worried about the other monsters though. I don't like the way your weapons break, especially if this is true. I'm in the hospital and have already broken the Sledgehammer and the TV. I guess I'll have to start running myself and hopefully find a new weapon soon.

re: Arrrgh, Monsters

The only ones that really bother me are the ones that drag they're heads on the ground. I hate when they charge and hit me, cause I always get knocked down. Oh, I forgot about the Dolls in the theater and the strait jackets, they can be a bit annoying, but otherwise not a problem really.

It surprised me the first time I came across a Patient, because they move a helluva lot faster than they did in SH2... XD

re: Arrrgh, Monsters

I think that everyone in this forum needs to stop compainling, now i dont know how old everyone commenting here is, but im 13 and i bested this game in 3 after-school gaming sessions. I know the weapons, are crappy and brake way too easily, but i think the monsters in this SH:O are standard, if not TOO easy, ive played SH:3 & 4 so i can compare. The only monsters that annoyed me were those stupid dead-dog things. As for the parts when mosters jump on you, i think that anyone who gets killed by those situations needs to grow a pair (i also played RE:4, button ,mashing is harder there), just hit the large amount of TWO buttons, kick em' off, and busta cap, or knife, in their mosnter areses! Hell, i beat the butcher with my tire-iron. I swear, i didnt use 1 gun until the "Motel" level at the end, for fear of finishing the game with all my Ammo. Also, i never used a walkthrough. So just, replay the game, no suits, or cheats, pull outta razor, and knife your problems.

re: Arrrgh, Monsters

I think what you guys need is a strategy of fighting these monsters. Take mine:

Straightjackets: Run behind them and use your fist and punch them 10 times. Then stomp them..

Nurses: Any weapon will do, even your fists

Carrions: Equip the shotgun and wait for it to come close but not too close as you wouldn't want to get hit by it. When in range, just shoot them once and they'll fall to the ground. That's when you unequip your shotgun and go stomp it.

Remnants: A target pistol, shoot it 6 times and you're done

Ariel: Turn off your flashlight first, then sneak on them and use your strongest melee weapon. You can also use the Service Pistol

Calibans: 4 shots of Hunting Rifle should do the trick

Two-back: Use the shotgun when in range. But rifle is better since they are dangerous up close (like Carrions).
You can use the assault rifle if you like.
