Of course, they're still money grabbers but just something to think about. I hate to be rude, but exactly how is it fair that the paying customers have to make up for the non-paying customer losses?

	Actually I think by making u register to get the 2nd town EA have pretty much made it harder for those with pirated copies to have the same experience than the "paying customers" Maybe they should verify ur copy everytime u download something from their site too :-) but then agian EA will be turning into Microsoft haha!

	Actually I'm not sure about how it was back then but it is almost impossible to pirate the game now. believe me I have tried and two other of my computer engineering friends. Everything seems to download fine and then once the game starts it knows its a fake. After dealing with this BullSh!t for a month I finally broke down and bought the games

	Everybody chill. The fact is that EA is one clever company. Of course they want our money, but they don't steal it from us. If you don't want to pay - don't. It's interesting how you guys complain about it. EA spends a lot of money on doing these games just as well, so stfu. If you don't want to buy SimPoints, don't. As simple as that.

	okay I came to this thread for ways to "earn simpoints" first couple posts were related now its all ranting raving on cost vs etc etc .. here's an idea. It is a GAME. it is NOT life bearing. EA IS a BUISNESS. a buisness MAIN goal is to PROFIT. do not like it? Stop playing or spending .. simple solution. and yes I have done free giveaways and i have purchased. my life SHALL go on .. if i cnt afford to buy then .. oh well .. i dont buy i keep playing as is .. if i can i splurge on something i wanted more than rest.again let me state. my life SHALL go on.... oui vey people...

The OP is talking about the points you can pay for to get premium items in the online shop for in game. 	Plenty of people say it's a rip off, and in a way it kind of is, making you pay to get more content for a game you already paid for, EA's just squeezing every penny they possibly can out of you, but also, like others said, nobody's forcing you to buy anything. Fortunately though if you're careful with it you can get the stuff you really need with the free 1,000 points they give you and the free stuff, neighborhood, and content etc. when you first create an account.
