Password issue?

I've never had a problem with this before. I don't have a password on my mac. I always just left any fields for passwords blank, so I don't have any pins or keys to remember for signing in or updating. If I was updating I could always just leave the field blank and press "OK", and it would update.

Today I tried to update something and when I leave the field empty it says, "Incorrect Password, please try again later."

Anybody know what causes this or how I can get around it?

ShanboEdit: I just tried changing my password and when I put in the password I want, it says the old password is wrong. But I don't have an old password! Wtf

I dunno where my install disk is I intend on buying Snow Leopard when it comes out (Or whichever the next OS Update is), so do you think I'll be able to install that? Fack man, this could be a disaster.

I'm an idiot when it comes to this kinda thing too. I tried using the disk that my parents had for Snow Leopard but it wouldn't let me run it. I think it has to be either the disk that came with your system or a new store-bought disk.

Might just be confusion. Reset the passwords if you can, and next time, put something in them.
