It'a weird that we're talking about a sequel to a game that none of us have.

Anyways, I think the graphics will be the same and it's a sequel but it still has all the same characters only a few more. Is it possible that they made a remake of the first one already?

They'll probably fix the glitches.

Also the new girl bachellorette is cute.

I sort of feel frustrated to see there being a sequel to the Harvest Moon: Island of Happiness game that hasn't even been released yet. We haven't even been able to touch the box that the game comes in yet along play the actual game. Besides this I feel were being cheated a little with all the waiting we've had to done, but then again the wait will all be worth it in the end. Hopefully with the wait the first game won't have so many glitches like HM DS had.

I actually was quite surprised to see both of the new marriage candidates, they are really great. I think that with their looks being altogether classy and rich looking they will make the HM: SS & F game even better in so many ways, if only they could be in the HM: IoH game.

Seeing as how the Shining Sun and Friends game is a sequel and based on it's screenshots the graphics look like they will be quite similar and the same as what Island of Happiness will look like. But hey, at least it's a change from the regular 2D graphics that HM DS had.

Because of such a long wait, with the first game before this one, I'm guessing there won't be as many glitches as there was with HM DS, hopefully. =D If not then, lmao I'm going to freak, what would have been the point to keep us waiting for the game and all.

honestly, I too am very upset about having a sequel so soon. It feels like as soon as we get Harvest Moon: Island of Happiness, this game will have a release date and we'll wait for it too. If there were drastic changes it would be ok, but I feel as though this game is just like IOH, just with new marriage candidates, which they have plenty of time to add to IOH.

Like I said, They probably came up with the new stuff after they released the first, thus they would have to not go through with the stuff or make a remake that is slightly different. This is another idea. The first had a few changes so they released it to see how people would react to the changes. (basically a testrun or demo) Then they would make a remake based off of what the peole liked from the first one.

Here's some possible ideas for why they might have delayed it a lot:

1. they found more glitches
2. they forget to translate something
3. they felt like it

The one thing though that I'm wondering is, what will be the difference tbetween the two games? Besides for a couple of new characters and maybe a bonus or two. But what will be the biggest or main difference? Any ideas?

There are in fact so many possibilities to what they are going to change in this sequel but then there are always going to be a lot of things that stay the same otherwise it wouldn't be a sequel.

New ideas are always brilliant to have especially in a sequel but because I haven't played IOH I can't say what I'd like to see differently in this game even as IOH's sequel.

It's possible they could go through every game they have ever made in the Harvest Moon Series and pick out what everyone liked best and try and fit it into the game. Without playing IOH what they might do is practically impossible to guess.

If I had to give them a tip on what we're looking for in a game I would definitely tell them to take a few things out of Harvest Moon Tree Of Peace also known as Harvest Moon Heroes. Yes the game is for the Wii but the game is incredible from what I've heard and it's not yet out.

• The ability to unlock certain things that aren't in IOH through doing certain things.
  
• More or less goals before you can marry. (I personally wouldn't mind seeing a big difference in that section myself.)
  
• Different heart events. (They seem to get slightly repetitive these days so a big change in that would be worth it in my opinion.)
  
• More animals available to buy or your farm. (For example the silkworm and ostrich in HM:TOP/HMH)

I've heard around the forums that IOH is coming out around mid May.

I definately feel as though they need to make major changes, especially with marriage requirements. I think that marriage requirements should be different for each character, that would be neat. I also think that heart events should be more specific to each character and have a role in the "big picture", not just in whether or not you marry someone.
