So, it's only going to be for the XBOX? Or was THAT the typo? I really dislike how the companies are all doing the XBOX porting and junk like that, I really hate Microsoft; feels like they're BRIBING the companies to make XBOX only games so people will BUY their console!

I thought it was pretty much a well known fact Tales of Vesperia is simply going to be a timed 360 exclusive.

I was going to get a 360 so I could play this game, but since previous rumor about Tales of Vesperia being for Xbox 360 came true, I'll just wait and if there going to be an PS3 port. Then again, even it does comes out for the PS3 there's no guarantee that it's going to travel to the states. I wish they would just tell us every from the first day.

As long as they don't switch SC4 and and Afro Samurai, I'll be good. I guess it's also on the good side that I bought a 360 prior to the release to this game. But, I'd be pissed for sure if they automatically switched it to PS3, but I doubt it because I submitted a screenshot with the 360 "back" button, so there is no switch... As we know...

I don't think the chart shows the switch between consoles, it only shows the possibility of a PS3 release. The same thing happened with Eternal Sonata and the PS3 release has more features than the Xbox 360 release. So if this isn't a "typo" I guess we could expect a more handsome PS3 Tales of Vesperia.

These mistakes are happening quite often, almost as if they were intentional.

Tales of Symphonia, initially a Gamecube only title, was ported to the PS2 not too long after the GC release, but it only came out in Japan, and I think Tales of Vesperia will be the same.

That's just because Sony wanted a piece, and it was of little consequence given that most people in Japan have a PS2 for their RPGing needs. The reason it was a Japan exclusive was because Nintendo held the license rights to the English speaking nations, and Symphonia was more of a success in the English areas because Nintendo fanboys decided to not buy a PS2 (don't worry, I was one of them) and was pleasured by Symphonia's release, though I'm not denying it wasn't a great game.

PS3 isn't so much the top dog in RPGs now (at least in exclusives), so I don't think it'd mean much to be on the PS3 in Japan.

At least, I don't see an obvious reason. I guess anything can happen.

Ehe. I haven't been around the Tales communities much, so this is new to me.

Not too surprised that it would come to PS3, though I do admit that these "mistakes" are frequent enough to be seen as intentional (remember the ToV for 360 in Sakuraba's site? xD And later on it was removed, and if you check the coding you would see that it said "Hello everyone, thanks for paying attention!") haha.

But like Eternal Sonata, we don't know if the PS3 version will come out in English.

I know NoA has the license to Symphonia, but does Microsoft have the same deal on Eternal Sonata and Vesperia? That's what I'm wondering.

Well, I'm still going to buy a XBOX 360 for the game, even if it does come out on PS3, simply because the console offers more games that I'm interested in (Eternal Sonata, Lost Odysessy, Blue Dragon etc...) whereas the Ps3 only has a handful of games that would interest me (Final Fantasy Versus 13...and that's about it).

P.S I wonder what that new tales game on DS is all about? That can't be a typo...

Hmm I haven't noticed that. But then again I didn't really take a look at the chart, haha.

Box-art doesn't have exclusive to Xbox360 on it.

Yes / I would imagine so.

- Gears of War 2
- Too Human

They all have the " Exclusive to Xbox 360 " logo on them as well, however they also all have the " Microsoft Game Studios " logo on them too, so I'm not too sure ...

Either way, again, this is exactly what Namco did with Eternal Sonata too.
